We had a wonderful time at the Fearrington Village along with Bill and Bren (Andy's aunt and uncle who we are some of our favorite people and we just so happen to share the same wedding date, only they are ahead of us by 27 years). The rooms at the Inn were perfectly cozy with plush bedding, super soft robes and slippers, warm towels, fresh fruit, and even a night cap of port and chocolates! Dinner was just as amazing...this is by far our favorite anniversary so far.
The Menu - here's a run down of my choices:
The Fearrington House Seasonal Salad with crab and avocado
Celebrity Farms Goat Cheese served with a Red Beet Salad, Dried Figs and Pickled Walnuts
Steamed North Carolina Trout with a Lobster Cake, Baby Artichoke, Sea Beans and a Caper Raisin Dressing
Rhubarb Cheesecake with Ginger Ice Cream - plus handmade chocolates in a to go box!
We ran out of room and time to try The Old Granary for brunch. The good news is it was only a 45 minute drive for us, so we'd like to go back for a day trip sometime this summer (and Trader Joe's is on the way!).
