Pumpkin Marinara Sauced Pizza

I saw another blogger do this a few weeks ago and thought it was a fantastically unique idea!  I mixed the pumpkin puree with marinara sauce, chili powder, and oregano.  We both thought the pizza was great and if I were to make it again I think ground sausage would have made it over the top!

  • 1 whole wheat dough ball
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup TJ's marinara sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 cup shredded skim mozzarella cheese
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

Preheat oven to 500 degrees.

Mix pumpkin, marinara, chili powder and oregano together.  Press out dough onto a greased baking sheet.  Top with sauce, cheese, and sliced peppers or toppings of your choice.  Bake at 500 degrees for 8 minutes, reduce temp to 350 degrees and bake for an additional 8 minutes.  Cool 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
