Corned-Beef-and-Cabbage Pizza

Another perfect pizza, this time with Irish flavors of tangy cabbage, crisp, salty potatoes, and corned beef! If you like a crispy crust, crank the oven as high as it will go – I cook mine for 10 minutes at 500 degrees.

  • 1 round of whole wheat pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced green cabbage
  • 2 teaspoons grill seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon spicy brown mustard
  • 1 small potato, thinly sliced
  • 3/4 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 ounce slab corned beef, sliced

Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the cabbage, season with grill seasoning and cook until just soft, about 5 minutes. Add the mustard and just enough water to cover. Simmer over low heat, covered, until the cabbage is tender, about 10 minutes. Remove the lid and let all liquid cook off. foodblog 004 Preheat to 500 degrees. Toss the potato with 1 tablespoon olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Roast in a single layer on a baking sheet until golden, about 15 minutes.

Roll dough into a 14-inch round. Place dough onto an oiled pizza stone. foodblog 002

Scatter with cabbage, corned beef, potatoes and cheeses. Place the pan in the oven. Cook until golden and crispy, 10 to 12 minutes.

What a great idea! That looks wonderful. I know my family would love it. I'll give it a try with our leftover corned beef.

Hey girl! Your pizza looks just like the picture in the magazine. Way to go! Looks great!

I love the FN magazine and I'm planning to subscribe. I was excited to come across it in the airport and snatched it up right away.

    Have a great Sunday!

this pizza doesn't have a nice appearence, but judging it for its ingredients I think it must be delicious. Iwould have to taste it to give it a note.
